Slum Run 2012 – Runner Registration is Open

STOP PRESS++++NO NEED TO REGISTER – JUST COME ALONG TO SMALL HEATH BAPTIST CHURCH 1.30PM+++++++++YOU DO NOT NEED A T-SHIRT TO PARTICIPATE – WE WOULD BE GLAD TO SEE YOU+++

You can now register for the Slum Run 2012, an event to celebrate the capabilities of young people around the world to solve their own problems.  Children in one of Uganda’s toughest slum areas are going to run 10,000m on the day of the Olympic Marathon to show how committed they are to a better future for themselves.  Each runner is part of Project Circulate, a running club set up by 17-year-old Francis Ssuuna, himself as determined to be a changemaker in Uganda.

Wherever you are in the world, you can do one of three things:

1. You can PLEDGE SOME MONEY to those kids who complete the 10,000m.  You can do that by clicking on the button here:

2. You can RUN YOURSELF with some friends and have yourself sponsored.  Registration forms are available here.  Sponsorship forms are available here.

3. You can BUY A SLUM RUN 2012 T-SHIRT for £10 + £1.99 (P&P) – all profits on this will go to the Ugandan Project.  Please enquire here for orders outside the UK.

Please specify a size, when ordering

You can find more information about the Slum Run at this post.
